Camel Walking Through the Desert Coloring Page

Camel coloring page with a two-hump camel in the desert with a cactus, a palm tree and the sun

Getting the crayons ready…

Sunny Yellow

A two-hump camel strolls across the sandy desert on this coloring page, passing a cactus and a palm tree under a hot sun. Camels can go a long time without water, which makes them great desert travelers. This page is a nice way to talk about desert animals and habitats, and it is simple enough for young kids to enjoy.

Coloring ideas

Use sandy tan for the camel and yellow-orange for the ground. Make the sky a warm blue.

Level: Easy · Ages: 4+. Clear main animal and simple extras.

Tips for parents and teachers

  • Explain that a camel’s hump stores fat, not water.
  • Ask kids to draw sand dunes in the background.
